International approvals: Gen-Probe PCA3 – Gene-based urine test (Gen-Probe PCA3) for diagnosis of prostate cancer in EU

On 14 November 2006, Medscape Medical News reported that the European Commission approved on 8 November 2006 a gene-based test (PROGENSA^TM PCA3, made by Gen-Probe, Inc and DiagnoCure, Inc) to aid in the diagnosis of prostate cancer.
