- This abstract was presented as a poster at the 22nd European Association of Urology (EAU) congress, 21-24 March 2007, Berlin, Germany.
- This preliminary analysis of a European study in 199 men with 1-2 negative biopsies confirmed the clinical utility of the PCA3 Score in guiding decision which men need repeat biopsy.
- In total, 25% of men had a positive repeat biopsy.
- The repeat biopsy rate increased with higher PCA3 Scores (Figure).
- Men with a PCA3 Score < 35 had a decreased likelihood of a positive biopsy (16%); men with a PCA3 Score ≥ 35 a 2.5-fold increased likelihood (41%).
