    Clinical progression

The cancer is becoming more severe. The patient progresses from one clinical stage to another (worse) clinical stage. This may be accompanied by the development of symptoms such as difficulties with urination (e.g. weak stream, dribbling after urinating or the need to urinate often) when the tumour spreads beyond the prostate or lower back pain when the tumour spreads to more distant places such as the bones
