How will the PCA3 test be done?
The PCA3 (Prostate CAncer gene 3) test starts with a digital rectal examination (DRE) of the prostate. This is usually done by a urologist. You are then asked to urinate after which the urine sample is send to a laboratory. The laboratory determines the PCA3 Score which indicates the likelihood that you have prostate cancer.
