There is currently no scientific evidence regarding the impact of testosterone replacement therapy on the PCA3 Score. However, the PCA3 Score is independent of prostate size and agents which reduce (dihydro)testosterone levels have very likely no impact on the utility of the PCA3 test as an aid in the diagnosis of prostate cancer [1]. Therefore, it is unlikely that the PCA3 Score is affected by the use of testosterone replacement therapy.
